Two different bird deliveries in one year!
We are becoming a wildlife refuge over here at MMK.
I mean in terms of the outdoors that is. Were still somewhat civilized indoors.
I wonder if National Geographic would like to do a spread of our active bird maternity ward.
If so, Iโm sure they would want to know our secret as to why the birds keep coming to our house.
Hmmm, what would I tell them.
Okay, I got it. Hereโs the recipe.
Slam doors, pour in two children screaming, add a poorly seeded/mowed lawn, a spice of parents yelling, and finally a huge heaping of Minecraft induced quiet.
Yep, that sums up much of the activity of my house.
So, why do we have another bird choosing our house as a maternity ward?
I have no idea!
Weโll just enjoy it.
Anyway, meet our newest expectant bird mother Rosa (as named by BR and SJ) the Dove. She is expecting twins.
And we at the MMK maternity ward could not be more proud of newest bird mother.
At this rate, you might want to think about setting up a neonatal bird ICU. You know, in case one comes early. ๐
Good thinking. For a small donation, we can name it after you. Think about it. There would be certain expences with such a facility you know.
I am guessing you aren’t taking advantage of ‘free eggs.’ ๐
Brunch at my house tomorrow.
That’s so cool!! I found a nest from last year in my lilac tree as I was trimming earlier this year. I was really excited and there wasn’t even a bird in it! Your tenants are much more interesting than my empty nest though.
You’d think she’d pick a quieter house, like maybe one with old people who play shuffleboard on Thursdays. ๐
Way cool. Is she very high up?
Not at all only a few feet.
So wonderful! I love that the boys get to watch life and nature happen right at their front door!
Yeah, it’s very cool.
