I Need Attention

Brian WIlliams

Hi, I’m Brian, and I want attention.

Hello, I’m inside the head of Brian Williams. Shhh, I hear something. What’s that? Oh I can make it out – it’s saying: I Need Attention.

No, no, no,I’m not inside the head of Brian Willaims’, NBC Nightly News Anchor.  So, I don’t know why he fabricated a story about his time in Iraq covering the way.

For those who don’t know the details of William’s ever changing detailing of the event, check out this story.

You back? Good.

I want to know why. Here is a man who seems to have the respect of the viewers. He comes off as a regular guy. You know the type: someone anyone could sit down with, have a beer, and discuss life. Inevitably, disagreements would arise as they would between any two people.  Yet, can’t you imagine ol’ Brian and you talking it out. And even if you don’t come to a consensus, you could at least respect each other’s opinion. You would walk away from the conversation thinking that Brian Williams is a good guy.

Isn’t that Brian’s image?

Hey, Marshawn Lynch, Talk! It’s Your Responsibility

Marshawn Lynch, Talk to the Media
Marshawn Lynch is the star running back of the Seattle Seahawks.  He is a great player on a great team. Lynch is fortunate enough to be on the reigning Super Bowl winning team that is attempting to repeat as champs this Sunday in Phoenix.

Lynch fulfilled his responsibility this past week. Sort of. On Media Day on Tuesday, he said over and over again, “I’m here so I don’t get fined.” That’s it.

Why I Love Snow

View of the SnowIt’s late at night. My house is quiet. All I can hear is the heater and the refridgerator. When I stop typing, I hear the winds blowing.

Dangers of Snow

Today has been about the weather. Actually, the constant weather talk began last night and will continue tomorrow. In this part of the world, a blizzard is predicted with large amounts of snow being predicted.  The storm could prove to be historic.

Who Do You Want to Bill for Your Time?

Bill for Your TimeBy now we all know about the story of the British mom, Ms. Lawrence who sent a bill to the Nash family for a birthday no show and is threatening to sue if it’s not paid. The Nash family originally sent back the RSVP and said yes. However, they realized their son had other plans, so he did not attend the birthday party.

The Lawrence family has been mocked- how could they bill someone a birthday party? After all, people argue. Things happen. Plans change. That’s life.

I understand.

But I support the Lawrence family. No, of course, I don’t think this is worthy of a lawsuit. Yet, it touches on a nerve of mine.

THE PLAGUE OF OUR SOCIETY

Poor communication. It’s a plague that has infected our society. And I for one hate this infection.

I feel Ms. Lawrence’s pain. We’ve made birthday parties for our kids. What parent hasn’t?
